Experience
I have worked in the media, communications and public relations industries for 12 years as a journalist, technical writer, copywriter, ghost writer and proofreader. Achievements and awards During my career in public relations I successfully executed the Pan African Ebola outreach campaign for The Coca-Cola Africa Foundation. This project won the international PR Daily 2014 Corporate Social Responsibility Award for Best Public Health/Safety Initiative. I was also a copywriter for international public relations company FleishmanHillard's Barclays Bank Prosper Campaign, which was named the Pan African Campaign of the Year at the 2015 PRISM Awards. This communication programme supported the launch of the Group’s first ever Pan African campaign, Prosper, in 11 African markets. Why do I want to be a tutor? I have a special interest in helping non-native English speakers gain confidence to use the English language. This includes conversational skills, writing and reading. I enjoy working with adults and children (from age 12) who want to improve their English conversational, writing and reading skills.
